The Campaign’s launching reception
A launching reception of the Campaign took place after the International Conference closing session, in which the British Ambassador, John Dew explained the Campaign’s outlines and development. The international panelist, Steve Woods also intervened.
- The Campaign “More information, More Rights” which starts in April will go up to February 2010, and will include the following events: Round Table with Colombian Media Editors, a High Level Meeting with Representatives of Government Entities, Meeting with Civil Society Organisations, and different Thematic Forums, such as access to information and freedom of speech, and access to information and preservation of the environment.
- Besides the Campaign’s organisers, the institutions that support it are Corporación Nuevo Arco Iris, Corporación Ocasa, Medios para la Paz, UNDP and Alianza Medios y Democracia.

Special Reporter’s Office for the Freedom of Speech of the CIDH – OAS: The Reporter’s Office was created to promote a conscience of the total respect of freedom of speech and information in the hemisphere, considering the basic role that it plays in the consolidation and development of a democratic system, and in the denunciation and protection of the other human rights.
The United Kingdom Information Commissioner’s Office: The United Kingdom’s independent authority that was established to promote access to official information and to protect personal information.
