Applying for project funds in human rights and democracy
Projects above £30,000 per year:
- Section A of our official project bidding form (below) completed and presented to the Embassy following calls for bids that are issued in October of each year. These are always published on this website.
- The assessment process is done under strict procedures of transparency and equal opportunities for bidders. These are based on some of the following criteria: organisation’s capacity to implement the project, adequate exit strategy, high sustainability of delivered results, and the project’s potential to create strategic change.
- After the assessment process takes place, all bidding organisations are notified of the results and only those selected will be asked to complete the full bidding form (section B).
- Projects then start at the beginning of our Financial Year (around 1st April).
Projects up to £10,000:
- Section A of our official project bidding form (below) completed and sent to cooperation@fco.gov.uk at any point during the year with “BPB project” included on the subject line.
- The Embassy’s projects committee assesses project bids and all organisations are then notified of assessment results.
