The Department for International Development (DFID) is the UK Government’s institution that manages Britain's aid to low income countries and works to reduce extreme poverty worldwide.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), through the Darwin Initiative Fund, supports projects that protect bio-diversity around the world.
